Emerging Out of Chaos: A New Kind of Leadership
August 26, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm UTC+0$60.00
The Leadership Collaborative has invited Nancy Sylvester to offer the following six-week series to sisters, associates and ministry partners preparing to lead anew:
How do you lead in a time of chaos?
How do you lead from your deepest self?
How can a spirituality emerging
from contemplative practice
prepare you to engage impasse
and exercise contemplative power?
The future is evolving out of a radically chaotic time. History brings us to this point where choices must be made as to whether we continue as we are or risk the next turn of the evolutionary spiral. Nancy Sylvester, IHM, believes that this turn calls forth a new kind of leadership with a unique role for those of us who engage life rooted in the love of God. Nancy believes that the future is calling forth leaders to interpret reality through a new lens that integrates insights of faith, science, psychology and the wisdom of various cultures to address the critical issues facing us. She sees the future holding a unique call for women religious and all women and men who walk a similar path.
During these six seminars, Sylvester will explore through discussion, presentation and processes how leadership rooted in a contemplative spirituality transforms one’s consciousness inviting the exercise of contemplative power to generate new ways of responding to our evolving future.
